Election Day at the Polling Place!

Our mom worked at the local polling place yesterday. She was an Election Official!

We got to pretend to be Election Officials too! That's us, sitting behing the Official Voting Table for the 31st Precinct with Mommy's new Election Official friends.

Mommy showed us how to use the computerized voting machines. It was awesome.

And then we pretended to vote on the computer. Mr. Tom showed us a real card to use with the machine, but Mommy didn't let us actually vote.

And then we pretended to vote again, this time in the booth for paper ballots, even though we didn't actually have ballots.

It was so much fun! Just 12 more years before Bethany can vote for real, and 16 more years for Jenna!

I am so proud of all of you!!! It is terrific that you are so involved and learning about our democracy and voting at your ages!! Your Mommy and Daddy are the best! I wish I could have been there with you to share in such an important event. Love you!!!

You sure are lucky to have all those adventures. It was awfully exciting, wasn't it? My kids at school think it's really great that we're going to have President Obama too!
