Beth's Mandarin Lessons

I have been taking Mandarin lessons in school and it's fun and challenging at the same time.

My teacher is nice - very nice. Her name is Miss Wong. She has taught us Daddy, Mommy, Big Sister, Little Sister, Big Brother, Little Brother, Correct, Not Correct, Hello, Goodbye, Pencil, Eraser, and the numbers 1-6. That's a lot to remember. It's a fun challenge that I get to do with all my friends.

I have eaten Chinese chicken, carrots and dumplings with chopsticks - the right way. Dad and Mom taught me that. The dumpling was good. Even the meat.

That's great, Beth! Maybe the next time I see you, you can teach me some of the words you've learned.

PS...I LOVE Chinese food, but I do't know how to use chopsticks properly. Could you show me how?

I only know how to say goodbye and Christopher taught me how when he learned. Good for you and what fun!

Sounds like learning Mandarin is lots of fun and "yummy". I don't know how to use chopsticks either so maybe you can teach me too?
