I pulled my own tooth because it was loose. It felt really good and it didn't hurt at all. Mommy tried to pull it but it hurt when she did it. It's really surprising how it didn't hurt when I did it. Maybe it was just a fairy's magic.
The Tooth Fairy came, but it was weird. At first, the coin wasn't there in the morning when I got up. But later, when I showed Daddy that the tooth fairy didn't come, it was there. Maybe I was up before she planned. Maybe she didn't know it was a Sunday morning.
The Tooth Fairy gave me a new New York City coin [Daddy's note: one of those new $1 coins with the Statue of Liberty on it]. It is very pretty and its so cool.
Mimi and Pop Pop were here when I pulled my tooth and they were excited too. I can't wait until 8 weeks are over. Then Christmas is going to be here. Whoo-hoo!

Wow! You are getting to be so grown up. It is funny, but true, that pulling your own tooth doesn't hurt as much sometimes as when someone else pulls it. I find the same thing with band-aids!
I'm excited about Christmas coming too because I'll get to see you!
Hi Jenna, that tooth fairy has to get up pretty early in the morning to fool you!!! I'm glad you found your special coin! I am glad it didn't hurt when you pulled your tooth :) 8 weeks will go by very fast and it will be Christmas before we know it! I can't wait for you to visit me in New York City over the holidays. We will have lots of fun! Love Mimi
I have to tell you something silly, Jenna! Hearing about and seeing teeth (anyones teeth) makes my belly button hurt! Isn't that funny?? Wonder what I'll do when my boys start to have teeth to pull.
The coin the tooth fairy left you sure sounds cool!
I remember either your dad or your uncle tying a string to his tooth and attaching the other end of the string to a door knob, then shutting the door real fast to see if it would pull his tooth out. (The idea is from the book Tom Sawyer, which you may read someday.) Maybe your dad remembers more of the story and can tell you. I don't think that it had a happy ending, but I was pretty little, so I may remember it wrong.
Congratulations on having a happier tooth losing story of your own! :)
Yeah, that was your Uncle Monkey with the string around the tooth. One time, we even tried tying the other end of the string to a dog's collar and then throwing a ball for the dog to chase! Can you guess what happened?
